Southeast Asian Youth Program

 

 

Manila Business College served as host to six (6) participants of the 36th Southeast Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP) 2009 last November 13-15, 2009.  On board the Japanese cruise ship Fuji Maru,  they are Jaya Pradeep of Malaysia, Milin Salim of Brunei Darussalam, Soh Weijing of Singapore, Ratih Dhewi of Indonesia, Nik Mariyana of Malaysia and Sengkeo Thongvanna of Laos.


The SSEAYP promotes friendship and mutual understanding among the youth of Japan and the Southeast Asian nations. In the program, each participant is given the chance to introduce their country and its history and culture to the other participants. For our part, selected MBC students gave the visiting students a tour of the city to experience a taste Filipino culture.


Participating students will indeed broaden their global perspectives by participating in discussions and other activities on board the Fuji Maru, and by the experience each delegate will have for every country that they will visit.
