MANILA BUSINESS COLLEGE

The Manila Business College set a high school competition event spearheaded by VP for International and Vocational Studies Ms. Mariecor Salas-Ding last February 10, 2012 (Friday) at the MBC Auditorium entitled "MBC Battle of the Brains Inter-School Competition".

24 graduating high school students, together with their coaches from different high schools in Metro Manila participated. Students were all excited to test their knowledge in Science, English, Mathematics, History, Current Events and General Knowledge.

The program was started by a doxology, followed by the National Anthem, then Mr. Frederick Stephen Ding had his welcome remarks that indeed gave moral support to the participants, Ms. Mariecor Salas-Ding acknowledged the guests and participants, and Mr. Jesse Wilvic Jacildo gave an official introduction to the Manila Business College and Unlimited Scholarships Program.

Out of 12 schools participated, Rubie Jayne Corvera and Karen Joy Donila of Pasay City West High School stand out as they became the Grand Champions, they were awarded with a trophy, medals, cash prize, and the prestigious Chairman's Scholarship Awards (Full Tuition and Miscellaneous Fee Discount) worth Php 225,000.00!

Lakandula High School's Prince Al Ramirez and Nica Villanueva was the 1st Runner Up, awarded with a trophy, medals, cash prize, and College's Scholarship Awards (Full Tuition Fee Discount), while Bea Paulene Pelayo and Odessa Louise Mauricio of Notre Dame of Greater Manila turned out to be the 2nd Runner Up who received a trophy, medals, cash prize, and 50% Scholarship Awards (Partial Tuition Fee Discount).

The program was hosted by Prof. Winnie Manglicmot. Mr. Dean Klayford Bongat, Mr. Jesse Wilvic Jacildo, and Mr. Henry Corrales served as the arbiters.
