MBC @ 10 Celebrating 10 Years of Commitment to Educational Excellence
The Manila Business College will turn 10 years this year 2010 since its foundation in 2000. In relation to this, a month-long celebration will be held on September 2010 with the theme “Celebrating 10 Years of Commitment to Educational Excellence”.
As a premiere International Business College, we make our students globally competitive through quality business education. We also compliment classroom teachings with non academic activities like socio-cultural activities giving those opportunities to become responsible and most especially well-rounded individuals. In the last ten (10) years, we have been quietly sharing our services by giving out scholarships to marginalized sector in the community through our partner institutions & organizations here and abroad.
MBC ON ITS TENTH YEAR!!
On the occasion of its 10th Anniversary, MBC hosted a Testimonial Dinner last September 25, at the MBC function room to honor partners, associates, supporters and friends who stood by its side from the very beginning.
VIPs in attendance were: Dr. Mina Gabor, Chairman, International School of Sustainable Tourism; Dr. Roger Perez, President, Cagayan State University; Fr. Ranhilio C. Aquino, VP Academics, Cagayan State University; Dr. Teruko Haga, a well-known Japanese Visual Artist; Dr. Charles Go, President, FCCCI; PAF Col. Enrico L. Ignacio (GSC); Dr. Emma Ventura, Dean of Graduate School, Ramon Magsaysay Technological University and Ms. Fe Rico, International Liaison Officer of RMTU and others.
Representatives of the following Corporate Partners also graced the occasion: Jollibee Foods Corporation, Department of Trade & Industry, Manila Ocean Park, Manila Grand Opera Hotel, KA-Entrep, Rotary Club of San Nicolas Makati, Armed Forces of the Philippines. Philippine Chambstrater of Commerce & Industry, PAGCOR and the Breakthrough & Milestones Production Inc. - UNTV 37.
Among the highlights of the celebration were the recognition and awarding ceremonies. Dr. Lourdes Sulleza, Dr. Leticia Villaluz, Prof. Emma Herrera, Prof. Esther Gacal, Prof. Winnie Manglicmot and Mr. Magdaleno “Nel” Espiritu Jr. received the Service Awards; Candice Stephanie Ding-Catipay, Wilma Terencio, Dalisay Valenzuela, Bernadette Bustarde, Julius Ceasar Carlos, and Gregorio Galas were conferred the Distinguished Alumna Award for Outstanding Performance-Practice of Profession.
Edgar Laurente, MBC alumnus, said, “I truly believe that this premiere International Business College is doing great. It contributes to the growth and development of the country by providing globally competitive quality education. MBC grants scholarships to marginalized sector in our community through partnering with small and big institutions, public and private organizations, here and abroad.
“MBC makes possible the dreams of many youths to acquire higher education. I am proud to say that with MBC as my partner, I graduated with a master’s degree in Business Administration, class 2009.
“Whatever success we may have, we owe it all to you.”
The event was enlivened by a Ballet performance by the famed Shirley Halili Ballet Dance Company and a cultural presentation by the Faculty and Staff.
